Eefke and the kids went to Holland for 3 weeks..
Life is good on the beach in Holland. After years in Bergen, we have changed our location to Juliana-dorp, where there is an indoor pool as well for when the weather does not allow us to spend the day on the beach. As real Dutchmen, we use bicycle's to get around, including the Dutch minivan below.
The beach is a 15 minutes walk, but no problem in the bolderwagen.
Of course we spend some time in Hoorn, usually staying at Grandma Gerry's house. That also means walking the dog in the park close by.
Daan bought a bicycle for 7.50 Dutch Guilders at the railroad station and has been making long rides with Eefke to family and friends around Hoorn. Here he is coming back from Schellinkhout. Wow, those skies could be in a painting of Rembrandt, why don't we have those in Michigan?
