In October 2004 we started to sail again, on a Hunter 33.

Hunter's are not known for their racing capabilities but equipped with a fridge, oven, stove, barbeque, warm water and air conditioning this is just the boat that we want.
It also sleeps the whole family in comfort so that we can stay for overnight trips.
For now our sailing is limited to the Bay of Galveston, where we sail out of Kemah.
In the near future we hope to sail on the Gulf of Mexico as well to see the dolphins and the large oil rigs.
Because of the summer heat we often only leave in the end of the afternoon, enjoying the sunset and then barbeque while we sail back while it gets dark and somewhat cooler.
Daan's friends from Michigan came for an exciting night sail. It was pitch dark and we need all aboard to look out for the many small oilrigs that are not lighted at night.
If we get bored we watch a DVD below deck.
Hans takes care of the barbeque, the shining contraption seen left behind him. The boys are always hungry.
Here we are anchored at ref-fish island.
