took the picture on left of my snow fort. Don't you think it is pretty? We are now expanding the snow
fort with a second part. if it keeps freezing, you can see the pictures
soon.
This is our porch. Can't you see it is really cold? I can see the porch from my fort.. You can just see the wood for the fireplace besides the door.
Here as we all. In front of the Christmas tree and the fireplace. Eefke is sitting on a pumpkin pillow that she just made herself.

Stan is getting bigger and bigger. He likes it when I hold him. But when I take pictures I can not hold him. That is why Eefke is holding him here.
Stan is a lazy baby. He can roll-over but that is all. He likes to do nothing. or drink milk from his mom. I like holding him.
A day in the life of Daan:
In the morning after breakfast I go to the bus stop with Eefke.
The schoolbus stops 3 houses away from my house. The bus arrives at 08:45 but usually arrives earlier or later. So we usually have to wait for about 10 minutes. If is snows too much, than school is cancelled or the bus may come really late.
We have to listed to the radio to hear if the schools are closed in the winter. Sometimes it is a very long list.
I ride in bus 11. the bus is crowded and the kids are very loud. Sometimes the busdriver says "too loud" through the loudspeaker. The bus also has noise lights that will switch on when it is too noisy.
The bus drives through our subdivision to pick up other kids. We are the last subdivision and after leaving our subdivision the bus goes straight to school.
The bus parks just in front of my class. I get out and walk to my class. Sometimes Mrs. French is not yet there, and we have to wait in the hall. When Mrs. French comes in, we also enter our classroom.
If I am slow with work I do not get recess. When it is too cold, recess is indoor, they call it indoor recess. When the weather is OK, then recess is outside.
My special activities at school are: Spanish, gym, computerlab. art, media center. This is all with a special teacher.
With Mrs. French we do the real learning stuff, like math, reading, writing, ITI (this is science and social studies)
We make journals in ITI and after some time we can take them home. Below you can see some pages from the journals. (coming someday, .....maybe.
